New CEO at Circomedia
Zannah Chisholm is the new chief executive of a Bristol institution that is renowned throughout the world.
Chisholm initially joined Circomedia as interim CEO in July but has now got the job permanently at the centre for contemporary circus and physical theatre, which has bases in St Paul’s and Kingswood.
Circomedia offers full-time education at post-16, undergraduate and postgraduate levels; hosts a varied performance programme; and puts on circus classes for adults and children as young as two.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Circomedia,” said Chisholm, who was previously CEO and artistic director at Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth.
“The love of the organisation is really clear – from all those who expressed their delight when I first joined as interim CEO, through to the passion and commitment of the staff and wider Circomedia family.
“I’m looking forward to leaning into the future of contemporary circus to nurture new generations of circus artists, and to seeing where our imagination will take us.”
