Review: The Nose Dive Assembly, St Paul’s – ‘A gravity-defying celebration of contemporary circus’
Gravity seems to have been temporarily suspended in one corner of St Paul’s.
A silver big top heralds the return of Revel Pucks Circus who are in town with their new show, The Nose Dive Assembly.
Featuring at its core a quest for flight, The Nose Dive Assembly is a warm-hearted celebration of contemporary circus.
is needed now More than ever

Featuring music from artists include Little Simz, Missy Elliott and Dr Dre, the members of the company take it in turns to perform and are heartily congratulated by each other at the end of each segment.
One dances high above our heads on a tightrope, another spins just as high within the big top solely attached by her hair to a rope, and a pair use a seesaw to propel each other up and up and up.
It’s like watching a group of friends having a great time together, just that their idea of a great time is flying through the air.
There may be a large set piece to finish but Revel Pucks are masters at finding the extraordinary in simplicity and they skilfully bring their audience along for the enormous fun.
The Nose Dive Assembly by Revel Pucks Circus is being performed off Wilson Street in St Paul’s until October 6. For tickets and more information, visit www.revelpuckcircus.com/nosediveassembly
