‘Ultimate’ Skins-themed club night coming to Thekla
Fans of one of Bristol’s most popular teen dramas will be able to get a taste of its chaotic parties in real life at a venue featured in the series.
A Skins-themed club night is inviting revellers to “celebrate celebrate the wild and iconic world of Bristol’s unforgettable series”.
Attendees will be able to “step into the world of Effy, Cook, Cassie and the whole gang as we transform Thekla into the ultimate Skins experience”.

Hit television drama Skins, which followed the unpredictable and wild lives of a gang of teenagers across three generations, was famously set and filmed in and around Bristol.
In the show, the majority of series three’s second episode in spent below deck at Thekla which sees the dysfunctional friendship group inadvertently attend an engagement party taking place on board the nightclub thanks to Cook’s brandishing of an unidentified bag of drugs.
As the night unfurls, the friends become enmeshed in a messy situation involving an organised crime gang and ends with Cook entering a brawl.

Taking place on July 12, the boat on the Floating Harbour will be decorated to resemble the Skins set and will feature songs from the series‘ soundtrack as well as Y2K tunes from the time.
