Bristol Comedy Garden 2018 lineup announced

By Steve Wright  Friday Mar 9, 2018

The brilliant Bristol Comedy Garden returns to Queen Square this summer (June 6-10) with another impressive lineup.

Big names at the top of the bill include QI star Alan Davies; acclaimed comic, R4 host and novelist Shappi Khorsandi (pictured above); The Last Leg’s master observationalist Josh Widdicombe; and Milton Jones, king of the surreal one-liner and shaggy-dog story. They’re joined by Reginald D Hunter, Zoe Lyons, self-styled German Comedy Ambassador Henning Wehn and cult hero Adam Buxton (with Bug X), among many more.

Elsewhere on the bill are the wildly acclaimed David O’Doherty (no one uses a 1980s synth better), James Acaster (master of the trivia and absurdity of modern life), and festival favourites Lolly Adefope (pictured below), Seann Walsh and the sharp-suited, linguistically fastidious Tom Allen.

Homegrown comics include newly crowned Edinburgh Comedy Award winner John Robins, the effervescent Mark Watson and the brilliant (and still here!) Mark Olver and Jayde Adams.

Now in its seventh year, the Comedy Garden will once again feature a fine selection of bars and street food stalls alongside all the award-winning stand-up.

“We can’t wait to get back to Queen Square this summer with this year’s set of incredible shows,” enthuses festival producer Cass Randolph. “Bristol audiences always bring such energy to the festival that the acts really feed off, making for some truly unforgettable moments in the Big Top.”
