Bristol’s new comedy club launching at Loco Klub
Look out for Bristol’s new comedy club, which will be sharing the biggest names in comedy at different venues around the city.
Capers Comedy Club will hold shows across Bristol, ranging from local residencies to exciting one-off events – starting off with their launch on July 1 at the Loco Klub underneath Temple Meads station with Laura Lexx, Jarred Christmas and Raul Kohli.
Local comic, Burt Williamson, told us what it means to be getting Capers Comedy Club off the ground following a tough year for the industry.
is needed now More than ever
“I don’t think anyone would be surprised to find out that the Bristol comedy scene has had a tough time during the pandemic. What’s been fun though is how creative the comedians in Bristol have been about running Covid-compliant events, outdoor gigs popping up throughout the city as and when restrictions have allowed.”
“It was gutting having to cancel all the gigs I had booked in but it’s just as exciting now being able to fill my diary as it was sad when I had to empty it. Things have really bounced back.”

“That’s why I’ve started Capers Comedy Club with Nick O’Neill. We’re both in agreement that Bristol definitely has room for some bigger scale comedy nights.”
“Loco Klub is incredible. I can only imagine what it’ll be like once there’s an audience in there up for comedy. The atmosphere is going to be incredible.”
Capers Comedy Club will launch at the Loco Klub on July 1 and will have the option to be socially distanced if government restrictions do not ease.
