Fast-rising star and ‘Mancunian wild man’ comic Dan Tiernan brings tour to Bristol
Unmistakably, Manchester’s Dan Tiernan is a comic in the ascendant, with an ever-growing raft of TV credits to his name: Stand Up To Cancer (Channel 4), BBC New Comedian of The Year (2023), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2) and Comedy Central Live among them.
On the cusp of his debut appearance on Live At The Apollo (the Christmas special), he is also fresh from two consecutive sell-out Edinburgh Fringe summers, and tour support for comedy heavyweights including Micky Flanagan, Fern Brady and Jamali Maddix.
Exploring his dyspraxia, sexuality, and the story of quitting his job as a dinner lady, his debut standup hour Going Under earned him a Best Newcomer nomination at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Dan Tiernan: Stomp
Now, Tiernan is now embarking on a tour of his follow-up show, Stomp, which arrives at Bristol’s Alma Tavern & Theatre on February 28.
“Come for tightly-packed gags about gout and gay-awakenings”, he enthuses; “stay for a show-stopping magical finale.”
