Grace Campbell brings her biggest tour show to Bristol Beacon
In the follow-up to 2023’s A Show About Me(n), comedian, writer and podcaster Grace Campbell will be performing at Bristol Beacon on November 17 with Grace Campbell Is On Heat.
In a relatively short career to date, Campbell has garnered a hugely loyal following, predominantly of young women who relate to her sharp-witted observations of the overlapping worlds of dating, politics, sex and men.
Her unwavering candour has also brought her to widespread attention, writing frankly about shame in the acclaimed 2020 book Amazing Disgrace, and more recently in The Guardian about her experiences of sexual assault and abortion.
is needed now More than ever
Now at the start of a new decade, Campbell is reappraising much of the life that has brought her to this point – including her unique upbringing in North London; she is the daughter of Alistair Campbell and Fiona Millar, both of whom worked for Tony and Cherie Blair under the historic New Labour government.
From friendships and relationships to underage raves, coming-of-age and the revelations born from parenting her dream dog, Eddie (named after Jennifer Saunders’ Edina in Absolutely Fabulous), Grace is preparing to show herself at her most mature – “but no promises”, she warns.
Grace Campbell: Is On Heat is at Bristol Beacon on November 17 at 8pm. For ticket availability, visit www.bristolbeacon.org.
