Ricky Gervais to return to Bristol for standup tour
Ricky Gervais is set to play Wembley Arena and LA’s Hollywood Bowl during his ‘Armageddon’ world tour dates.
The star of The Office will also be visiting Bristol in December for two shows, becoming one of the first standup comedians to play at the newly refurbished Bristol Beacon.
Gervais’ 2021 tour ‘SuperNature’ became one of the most watched comedy specials of the year on Netflix, with Netflix already buying the rights to ‘Armageddon’.
is needed now More than ever
“Ricky Gervais is Britain’s biggest comedian,-” said Live Nation’s Ian Coburn. “He sells out arenas around the world.”
Gervais added: “When I was invited to play the iconic Hollywood Bowl, I said ‘What if it rains?’ This pretty much sums up how British people think.”
‘Armageddon’ comes to the Bristol Beacon on December 11 and 12, less than a fortnight after the historic concert hall’s reopening after a multi-million pound refurbishment.
Tickets will be available starting with a Live Nation presale from Wednesday, with a general sale beginning on Friday at 10am on livenation.com.
