The Bristol Improv Theatre launch Autumn season 2022

By Sarski Anderson  Thursday Sep 8, 2022

The Autumn season from The Bristol Improv Theatre has been updated, and as ever, it’s a riotous mix of entertainment for lovers of the unscripted.

From La La Bar’s musical theatre open mic night to the epic fantasy quest that is Tales of Adventure; from mixed bills of improv duos to The Bish Bosh Bash: The Improvised Game Show, there is a wealth of talent, imagination and quick thinking on show.

Bristol Pride presents: Dragprov Revue, featuring the drag double act Christian Adore and Eaton Messe, performed by Francesca Forristal and Ed Scrivens.

There will be monthly Improv Jam & Social nights promising a welcoming and nonsense-filled evening for everyone, whether they are old hands, curious to try improvising for the first time, or would prefer to watch the antics unfold.

Los Angeles-based improv sketch duo Landry and Summers will be joining proceedings, along with the long-form improv inspired TED-style talks from Do Not Adjust Your Stage.

Meanwhile, Adventures of the Improvised Sherlock Holmes promises to shed light on the villainous underworld of Victorian Britain.

Other notable highlights of the programme include This Is Your Musical – otherwise known as “Broadway. Your Way”, and The Antics Joke Show ft. Your Dad’s Mum.

And the Unscripted Players – the UK’s first am-dram company dedicated to improvised theatre – will be bringing their Big November Show to the theatre, too, this year featuring two shows selected from those pitched over the summer.

New for Autumn 2022 there are season passes on offer for improv fans, who can get three for two tickets to selected flagship shows.
