‘The universe’s favourite novelty politician’: Count Binface lands in Bristol
Wrapping up a UK tour of his first solo comedy show, Bindependence Day, in Bristol, the self-proclaimed “intergalactic space warrior and novelty politician” Count Binface will be appearing at The Wardrobe Theatre on October 27.
Count Binface first came to public attention in the 2017 UK General Election, when he took on Theresa May – disguised as former persona, ‘Lord Buckethead’.
He went on to challenge Boris Johnson in 2019, accruing 69 votes in the process. Two years later, he appeared as a mayoral candidate for London, receiving 92,896 votes, which landed him in ninth place.

In the 2024 General Election, Count Binface stood again, this time against then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak – winning 308 votes in the process, and an endorsement from The Daily Star.
He ran on a 24-point manifesto that included policies such as ‘Wallace and Gromit to be knighted’, ‘croissants to be price-capped at £1.10’, ‘all water bosses to take a dip in British rivers, to see how they like it’, and ‘national service to be introduced for all former prime ministers’.
Coming down from space for the duration of the tour, Count Binface bids to “save us all from imminent disaster” with his ‘MEGA’ plans – namely to “Make Earth Great Again”.
Count Binface is at The Wardrobe Theatre on October 27 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at www.thewardrobetheatre.com.
