In photos: Morris dancers welcome May Day on Brandon Hill

As the sun rose over Bristol on Wednesday morning, an age-old ritual took place at the top of Brandon Hill.

Morris teams from across the city gathered for the ancient tradition of dancing the sun up on May Day morning to ensure that summer arrives on time.
