The generally well-received Alien: Romulus enjoyed a second week at the top, but didn’t really face any serious competition from rival blockbusters on general release. Hit Irish hip-hop flick Kneecap enjoyed a wider release and landed in fifth place, ahead of Zoe Kravitz’s black comedy thriller Blink Twice. Below that, Inside Out 2 continues to perform strongly and now ranks as the fourth-highest-grossing fully animated film at the UK box office, behind The Lion King and Toy Stories 3 and 4. There wasn’t a great deal of interest in the dismal ‘reboot’ of The Crow, which opened just ahead of the 15th anniversary reissue of Coraline.
