Gru and his Minions held those Twisters at bay as Despicable Me 4 enjoyed a second week at the top. That said, the belated disaster movie sequel that no one knew they needed enjoyed an impressive £4.1m opening in second place. The windy romp displaced Inside Out 2, whose £47m haul means a place in the all-time UK Top 50 is within its grasp. Horror flick Longlegs is also holding up strongly, thanks in part to its success on social media. Towards the foot of the chart, Britpop act Blur’s To the End became the biggest documentary opener of the year, while NT’s Live’s reissue of the 2019 production of Noel Coward’s Present Laughter, starring Andrew Scott, was the weekend’s big event cinema hit.
