Seemingly unstoppable Inside Out 2 is now officially the second biggest hit of the year after just two weeks and may yet overtake Dune: Part Two. The Pixar animation left the much-hyped The Bikeriders in the dust. Two event cinema titles made the top five this week. Enough people were persuaded to emerge from behind their sofas to watch the Doctor Who finale on the big screen for it to make fourth place in the chart. Ace Swedish metallers Ghost’s mix of narrative and live performance, Rite Here Rite Now, set a record for the highest-grossing hard rock cinema event in North America and is also doing exceptional business worldwide, opening in fifth place in the UK. Outside the top five, IF has tumbled to eighth place, it’s farewell altogether to Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and there are two new entries at the foot of the chart: the troubled The Exorcism with Russell Crowe and the latest entry in the shark attack survival thriller cycle: Something in the Water.
