Despite decidedly mixed reviews, Tim Burton’s sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a sizeable box office hit, grabbing the top spot with a £7m opening weekend. Nothing else could really compete, but Indian sci-fi action flick The Greatest of All Time did well to grab second place – albeit with a tenth of the takings of the Burton film. At number three, romantic drama It Ends With Us has now reached £20m at the UK box office. Despicable Me 4, meanwhile, fell from first to sixth place as the school holidays came to an end. Firebrand, with Jude Law as Henry VIII, made it into the foot of the chart, well ahead of folk horror Starve Acre, which has taken a total of £62,000.
