Bristol Cycle Cinema reveals free weekend of cycle-powered cinema on College Green
As part of the Bristol UNESCO City of Film Summer Film Takeover programme, Bristol Cycle Cinema brings a packed programme of favourites to College Green over the weekend of July 22/23. Punters are invited to enjoy the free show and/or hop on one of the 40 static bikes generating electricity to power the event.

The static bikes powering the cinema are supplied by Electric Pedals
The first film titles have just been revealed, many of them selected by Bristolians who participated in film programming workshops run by Compass Presents. The programme announced so far includes Barry Sonnenfeld’s great 1991 live-action version of The Addams Family; Peter Weir’s dystopian reality TV satire The Truman Show, which our conspiracy theorist friends probably consider to be a documentary; and Wes Anderson’s stop-motion animated adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox, which is screened as a prelude to the seventh annual Cinema Rediscovered festival of archive gems.
Although entry is completely free, you do need to reserve your ticket(s) in advance. Go here to book and for more information.
