Holographic music performance coming to Watershed
Watershed will host a holographic music performance from US-based Vietnamese Musician Xo Xinh.
The performance on Thursday will accompany a screening of the creative documentary Dust & Metal.
Dust & Metal combines archive film with newer footage based on Vietnamese past and present-day tales against a backdrop of contemporary music.
is needed now More than ever
The film centres around Vietnam, told through an untraditional lens centring around the motorbike: the nation’s most common form of transport.

The event is being run as part of Star Nhà Ease, which aims to celebrate and expand the range of Vietnamese cinema shown to UK audiences.
This holographic performance follows the popularity of London’s ABBA Voyage and aims to create a similar experience with a portable hologram cabinet.
The hologram was developed in collaboration with the University of Nottingham and Live Cinema UK.
This unique audiovisual experience features Xinh performing his soundtrack alongside the film, followed by a live Q&A with director Esther Johnson.
Xinh’s score aims to capture Vietnam’s rich musical heritage through his use of experimental and electroacoustic music, which has captivated audiences around the world.
The hologram performance and screening of Dust & Metal will take place on Thursday at 6 pm at Watershed. For tickets and more information, visit www.watershed.co.uk/whatson/12592/dust-metal-qa-hologram-performance
