More outdoor film screenings announced for September
Ever wanted to recreate that authentic Deliverance experience, stopping just short of, you know, the whole anal rape thing? You’re in luck! Portable Pictures are screening the John Boorman classic in an appropriate riverbank setting at Beese’s Tea Gardens on September 13.
Rather than squealing like a pig, you’re invited to consume one, as a hog roast is included in the ticket price. Mercifully, there’s a veggie option in the form of halloumi kebabs. You also have the opportunity to arrive by boat, just like Burt Reynolds and Co., though this is a special excursion run by Bristol Ferry Boats rather than a manly, team-building canoe journey. You’ll have to bring your own duelling banjos, mind. For more info and full ticket details, see our listing here.
For those of a more sensitive disposition, Come the Revolution and the Trinity Arts Centre have organised a brace of screenings under the Lush banner in the inner city oasis that is the Trinity Gardens on the weekend of September 2/3. There’s also live music at each event, plus food and an outside bar.
