The Floating Cinema docks in Bristol
After an epic six week journey from London’s East End The Floating Cinema has docked in Bristol’s floating harbour.
In its first outing from the capital, the cinema has chugged along the Kennet and Avon canal hosting screenings and arts events along the way. The barge arrived in Bristol on Monday morning and is moored outside the Arnolfini.

Tour manager Hannah Nicholls said: “It’s very exciting to be here. We have all sorts planed for our week in Bristol – art talks, open air films and workshops – they are all free but need to be booked.”

“We’ve done a lot of events in London but we wanted to get the word out there about our eclectic mix of cinema and events.
“It seems everyone loves events on boats it seems and it’s great to join Bristol’s boating community for a short time,” she added.
The Bristol Programme
Thanks to funding from the BFI, Arts Council England and the Canal and River Trust, many of the Floating Cinema’s events are free of charge.
