Belmont Estate and Bristol Beacon partner up for a weekend of music
Taking place on July 22 and 23, Belmont Estate and Bristol Beacon are bringing a weekend of music and food to the walled garden amphitheatre.
Kevin Figes’ jazz sextet You Are Here and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble will visit the renowned rural venue.
Kevin Figes’ You Are Here is a tribute to the late pianist Keith Tippett, performing a selection of the Bristolian musical legend’s epic compositions alongside those of Soft Machine’s Elton Dean and Figes’ originals.
is needed now More than ever
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble will take listeners through a journey spanning 450 years of music history, a programme that features much loved and popular orchestral pieces by JS Bach and Corelli to Arvo Pärt and Jessie Montgomery.
Alongside the music, guests can enjoy street food from Pizzarova plus wine, local organic cider, soft drinks and Bristol-brewed beers at the venue’s Potting Shed pub.
These events form part of Bristol Beacon’s Sustainable Travel Pilot Programme, part of their aim to become Net Zero by 2030.
As audience travel makes up 62% of the venue’s carbon footprint, Bristol Beacon is encouraging attendees to help reduce the climate impact of these shows by choosing a more sustainable way to travel to Belmont Estate, such as public transport or bicycle.
Audience members who travel by bicycle or bus to the concerts will receive a free drink from the bar. Just show your bike helmet or bus ticket at the entrance to receive your voucher.
Tickets are on sale now and can be found at https://bristolbeacon.org/the-walled-garden-concerts/
