Bristol band to release a song every month until the end of the year

By Lowie Trevena  Monday May 11, 2020

Rozelle, a Bristol-based, genre-bending four piece, are releasing a single each month throughout lockdown until the end of 2020.

Their third single, Get Out Alive, marks the start of this effort, and has been released earlier than planned to boost spirits.

“This is a track that we wrote earlier this year, and we realised how fitting this song is for the time we are in,” explains Hayley Smith, the lead singer and songwriter for the band.

Get Out Alive is a highly danceable pop track, an uplifting song to keep moods high during the pandemic.

Lyrically exploring fear, danger and regret, it’s an oxymoron in its very existence. A bittersweet tale of a character who can’t escape their past, the track is comforting, energetic and fearful all at once.

Rozelle will be releasing a song every month until the end of the year, starting with Get Out Alive.

“We’re able to commit to this as we are lucky that we all live together in Bristol,” says Hayley. “We’ve been producing and releasing a new single every three of four weeks, and the response has been incredible.”

Filming the original music video for Get Out Alive wasn’t possible due to the pandemic, so the band called on their global fanbase to create a collaborative video.

65 people from across the world and of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds feature in the video.

With haunting vocals and dreamy synths, Get Out Alive is hopeful and heartfelt – a track that builds excitement in the songs to come for the next six months.
