Bristol bar to host debaucherous Saltburn-themed party

By Mia Vines Booth  Tuesday Jan 16, 2024

Fans of one of the most talked about films of 2023 will be able to experience its debaucherous parties in real life at a Bristol venue.

The Raven cocktail bar is hosting an ‘Evening at Saltburn’, and yes, there will be a freestanding bathtub  to dive into the drama.

Saltburn divided critics when it hit cinemas in December. The dark comedy film, directed by Emerald Fennel, explored the hedonistic lifestyles of the upper-class through dark comedy through the eyes of outsider Oliver Quick.

In the film, events come to a head when a birthday party is thrown for Oliver at the Saltburn manor.

Now, fans of the most talked about film of the year will be able to experience the hedonism for themselves, through a Midsummer Night’s Dream-style party.

DJs “bringing the best in mid-noughties indie sleaze,” and enchanting burlesque and performance will take guests “into an opulent world inspired by the cult sensation” in the Raven’s stately interior.

“This isn’t just an event,” said Organisers. “It’s a voyage into decadence, where every moment is soaked in luxury.”

Fancy dress is encouraged, and a welcome cocktail will be provided. ‘An Evening At Saltburn’ takes place on February 23 and tickets are £25 on Eventbrite.
