Bristol Beacon announces lineup of multi-genre concerts this bank holiday
The bank holiday weekend is always filled with a number of different events and entering into the foray is Bristol Beacon‘s lineup of events, beginning Thursday 25 August and concluding Wednesday 31 August.
Opening the series is county singer Gretchen Peters, inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014, the American singer-songwriter will be performing at the former Georgian church, St George’s Bristol.
Following Peters is Candian alt-punk trio Cola. Following the release of their first full-length album in May this year, the band will be performing at Rough Trade.

Performing at The Fleece on Monday 29 August are Tank and The Bangas who will be bringing their gospel, pop and R&B sounds to the iconic venue. Nominated for Best New Artist at The Grammys in 2020, the band are not one to miss.

For a different type of sound, you can head to St George’s on the same night to watch American country singer, Brandy Clark. The Grammy nominated singer-songwriter will showcasing her new album Your Life is a Record.
Across town the following night, Latino artist Xenia Rubinos will be performing at Strange Brew. The Brooklyn-based musician fuses downtempo R&B with electronic pop, she will be sure to liven and brighten up the Tuesday night.
Concluding the long weekend is Taraka at Dareshack. One half of former cult duo Prince Rama, the New-York based artists will be treating the audience to her unique blend of indie, surf rock and psychedelic grunge.
