Bristol label organise Grenfell Tower fundraiser

By Sammy Jones  Friday Jun 16, 2017

Bristol label Howling Owl have curated a fundraiser for Grenfell Tower set for this weekend in response to the devastating fire that has ravaged the building since Wednesday night. The London fire death toll has risen to thirty today and is expected to rise, and hundreds of families have lost their homes.

The fundraiser, curated by Howling Owl’s Spectres and presented under the banner of Dissolve, will be headlined by experimental punk band Show Me the Body (pictured). The New York City-based band’s output is characterised by distortion, shouted vocals, and anti-establishment aggression.

Fellow NYCers Odwalla1221 will join them along with MC Assforest – a hybrid of around ten Bristol artists conducted by Matt Loveridge of MXLX.
