Bristol nighttime workers asked to share mental health insight
Bristol Nights is calling on everything from bar and kitchen workers to supermarket staff and taxi drivers to share insight on mental health among nighttime workers to gain real-life feedback that can make a difference.
Evidence around mental health among those working through the night is at an all-time low. Everyone from hospitality staff and transport workers to security teams, performers and hospital staff, this survey is aimed at putting their mental well-being back in the front seat.
To address this, Bristol Nights has partnered up with the National Institute for Health and Care Research to better understand the mental health of nighttime workers. Their survey is centred on collecting real-life feedback and gathering evidence that can be used to advocate change.
This survey is a chance for people to share their voices, stories and experiences unjudged and with anonymity. The findings from this survey will help make a case for more dedicated resources and tailored mental health support for the people who power Bristol’s nighttime economy.
The understanding of well-being in the nighttime is at an all-time low, with many workers facing unique challenges from irregular hours to isolation, high stress and limited access to services that operate during the day. Without meaningful data, the sector has and will continue to struggle to find solutions.
The survey only takes 10 minutes and has 20 questions to complete. Once completed, entries will be entered into a prize draw to win £250.
Beyond the chance of winning £250, every entry is truly a step toward a brighter, healthier future for Bristol nighttime workers. Your feedback has the power to spark change and ensure that mental health in the sector gets the attention it deserves.
If you work during the hours of 6PM to 6AM, this survey is for you. Whether you’re in hospitality, security, healthcare, transportation, the arts, or any other night-shift role, your insights matter.
Taking part is simple – head to this link to fill out the survey. It’s quick, easy, and completely anonymous.
Let’s ensure that the mental health of those who work through the night becomes a priority. Together, we can make a difference and build a future where Bristol’s nighttime economy thrives – for its workers and the city as a whole.
