A four-night series of gigs is returning this summer to Bristol’s harbourside.

Bristol Sounds is back at the Lloyds Amphitheatre, with Bloc Party revealed as the first act on June 28.

The show will be part of the four-piece’s national tour to mark their debut album, Silent Alarm, which came out back in 2005.

“We’re really excited about this year’s line up and look forward to welcoming back the good people of Bristol to the harbourside” said Conal Dodds of Crosstown Concerts, and the founder of Bristol Sounds.

“Today we can announce that Bloc Party will be performing their biggest ever show in Bristol, and we can’t wait to share more news with Bristol music fans later this week when we will reveal the full line up”

Ticket information will be released on Friday along with the full lineup for the shows taking place between June 26 and 29.

Bloc Party also played shows in London and Leeds last year in honour of their debut album

Bloc Party most recently played in Bristol in 2016 at the O2 Academy as part of NME Awards Tour.

Bristol Sounds took a year off last summer after welcoming Manic Street Preachers, Hacienda Classical, Craig David and Bonobo in 2017.
