Bristol soundsystem The Stomp Project celebrate third birthday at Loco Klub

By Miles Arnold  Wednesday May 11, 2022

Hedonism in its purest form. For some, there’s nothing more satisfying than putting your head into an erupting bassbin and feeling the music reverberate throughout your body. Wearing earplugs, of course.

If that sounds like you, you’ll know of The Stomp Project by now. If not, they’re a grassroots events label/soundsystem pushing the free party culture in clubs around the city, with everything from old school jungle to blistering hard tek. And they’re turning three this weekend.

The night will be at the infamous Loco Klub on Saturday, and in true Stomp fashion, you can expect high energy sets throughout the evening. There’ll be a certainly intense headline set from Amen 4 Tekno chief T-Menace which won’t be for the faint of heart, followed by a back to back from fast-becoming jungle legend Supa Ape and Leeds based Jahganaut.

What’s more, you can expect an exciting live jungle set from rising stars 4am Kru, a duo that have been making waves recently with their explosive live sets involving an electronic drum kit and various synths, that have become a known spectacle to behold in the jungle scene as of late.

Aside from that, warming things up will be sets from a heap of up and comers in the free party/rave scene, and the debut of DJ Pub Quiz, a new act from The Stomp Project that combines music, quiz questions and plenty of audience participation.

The Stomp Project 3rd birthday takes place on Saturday May 14. Tickets are currently on final release, and can be purchased here. 25% of profits will be going to Refugee women of Bristol.
