Bristol24/7 Ashton Court Mansion special guest announced
Drum and bass legend Randall is the final name to be added to the bill for the Bristol24/7 Ashton Court Mansion Takeover.
Randall started his DJ career as a teenager in London in the late ’80s gaining a reputation playing at acid house parties and pirate radio stations. A Saturday night residency at Orange at the Rocket Club in London meant playing alongside the likes of DJ Hype, Grooverider, Fabio and DJ Rap.
is needed now More than ever
Over the years, his reputation has helped him forge close links with key labels like Reinforced and Goldie’s Metalheadz, ensuring that he’s one of the first DJs to get his hands on dubplates.
While limited, his work as a producer has been important to the development of the scene. The classic The R for the Reinforced Enforcers series and Sound Control with Andy C on Ram Records are memorable examples.
But it’s as a DJ that he is best known and it’s a career that has taken him all over the globe. His ability to move with the times without compromising a style has won him many fans.
Originally from London, Randall is an adopted Bristolian who has lived in the city for more than ten years. He joins an all-local lineup featuring lush jazz-electronica from Ishmael Ensemble, the unique dub-punk-dancehall sound of breakout star Grove and heavyweight 140 / dubstep selections of Subloaded chief Pinch.
Bristol24/7 Ashton Court Mansion Takeover is on Friday, March 10 from 8pm-4pm.
Tickets from Headfirst, priced £10 for Bristol24/7 members; £20 for everyone else.
