The return of Cider Sunday at the Exchange
Bristol Cider Sunday is an afternoon of proper job cider suppin’ and music in true Bristol fashion.
A much loved institution at the Fleece before off the calendar a few years back, the good folk at Fuelled By Cider have been tasked with restoring it to its former glory at the Exchange on Old Market.
The idea is perfectly simple, like the best things usually are. A few pints of good quality local cider and a home made pasty on a Sunday afternoon, plus a couple of great musical acts and a chance to natter with like minded folk. And you can still be back home for tea and Last Of The Summer Wine without upsetting anyone. A proper way to spend a Sunday afternoon, like Bristolians did before they invented Ikeal and Sky Sports.
is needed now More than ever
West Country cider drinking has traditionally been a very sociable, communal affair. Cider Sunday aims to bring the spirit of the rural cider shed and two handled cup to the centre of Bristol and everyone is welcome.
The opening Cider Sunday features legendary Bristol scrumpy pumpers the Surfin’ Turnips plus Somerset maverick John D Revelator. Starts 1pm – 5pm, £3 on the door.
