The first session will be hosted by Tamara Gal-On (previous work includes Warner Chappel and The MPA), leading attendees through a goal setting workshop. This will outline practical skills to increase planning capabilities, develop a vision and plan along with getting to know the ins and outs of the various job roles within the music industry.
The second workshop will deal with the basics on the multiple income streams available to the self-employed. ‘Targeting Income’ will highlight issues such as negotiating fees, how to find artist incomes and how to get paid fairly for work. This session will be hosted by Danny Desai, co-founder of talent management company NOWHERENEAR.
The final workshop, aptly titled ‘Sell It Well’ will see digital marketer and creative manager Lewy Lytton (previous work includes Domino Recording) discuss the various methods in which you can market and sell your work.
Owen Parry, creative producer for talent development at Bristol Music Trust, commented:
“We feel really lucky to partner with Young Guns Network to bring these well-respected workshops to Bristol’s young innovators in the music industry. Multi-Track aims to demystify the music industry and provide those with dedication and drive the skills they need to navigate the business side of it all. With workshops like these and our wider programme, we’re proud to help kick-start many young Bristolian musicians’ careers.”
The first workshop will be hosted on January 29, followed by the second on February 26 and the final one will be March 26. All workshops are incredibly accessible at only £5.
The workshops are open to any aspiring music industry professional, for more information and to book your place on the Level Up: Plan Your 2020 workshop series, visit: https://www.multi-track.co.uk/2019/12/05/level-up-plan-your-2020/
