CROTCH is coming to Lost Horizons
After a successful relaunch at the Llandoger Trow, CROTCH is coming to Lost Horizon for a night of juicy rhythms and iconic throw-downs.
A queer and femme night encouraging self-development, exploration, acceptance and love, CROTCH was created as a safe space for queer and femme people to meet, party and cut shapes on the dance floor.
Acts showcased on Thursday, March 31 at the arts and culture space in St Jude’s include DJ Emmy and Princess Koko – accompanied by art installations commenting on the queer and femme experience of Bristol’s nightlife.

CROTCH will also be collaborating with Queer House Party, a DJ collective, community platform and award-winning LGBTQ+ party that brings together drag, performers and DJs.
Beginning as an online party during the first lockdown, Queer House Party has developed into a global community through pioneering a new form of radical, accessible party that can be joined in real life and online.
The event will follow Bristol 24/7’s discussion panel earlier that evening, Celebrating Women in the Nighttime Economy. This will see Carly Heath, Bristol’s night time economy advisor, Emma Harvey, chief executive of Trinity Community Arts, and Laura Lewis-Paul, founder of Bristol-based label, Saffron Records take to the stage to discuss the roles women and non-binary people play in the city’s vibrant, varied and inclusive night life scene.
Ola Poroslo, producer and most company director of PHATBristol, will also be joining the panel. All profits from CROTCH that evening will proceed to PHAT’s queer security company launch.

Speaking about the new company, CROTCH has describes its creation as a “response to the countless events we’ve been deprived of feeling safe by those employed to protect us”. They hope the new security team will gain “respect and trust through welfare, assertion and diplomacy”.
