Dizzee Rascal’s surprise Cabot Circus show

By Sydney Vallance  Thursday Feb 15, 2024

Acclaimed grime artist, producer and MC Dizzee Rascal popped into Cabot Circus for a surprise performance on Thursday lunchtime.

The rapper said he hadn’t been sure whether to perform when he took to the stage an hour after the scheduled middday, but wanted to “lighten the mood”.

Dizzee made his entrance in the shopping centre with the opening single Jus’ a Rascal from his debut 2003 album, Boy In Da Corner, a record that earned him the esteemed Mercury Prize.
