DJ Spoony looks ahead to BS3 Live
DJ Spoony was treated to a hugely entertaining game of rugby at Ashton Gate just two months before he will take to the turf as one of the acts at the BS3 all-dayer.
One of the original godftahers of UK garage, Spoony is bringing his Garage Classical show outside of London for the first time on June 22, with a full orchestra performing garage hits alongside special guests including So Solid Crew, Shola Ama and Kele Le Roc and Nay Nay.
The Garage Classical show, which has sold out the Royal Albert Hall, sees Spoony work alongside composer and conductor Katie Chatburn, and the Ignition Orchestra.
is needed now More than ever
Ahead of Bristol Bears’ match against Newcastle which Bristol won 87-14, Spoony told Bristol24/7 that he was “really looking forward” to playing at BS3 within Ashton Gate’s “beautiful stadium”.
The former pirate DJ watched the game ahead of playing later that evening at Bambalan where he has been a regular in recent years at their Summer Sessions.
Spoony said that Garage Classical will feature “tracks that you know and tracks that you would have heard before but just not in the way that we’re going to present it”.
BS3 takes place on June 22 with a lineup including Ne-Yo, Craig David, Jess Glynne and Dizzee Rascal. For more information and to buy tickets to BS3, visit www.bs3live.com
