Elton John announces second Bristol date for 2022

Elton John will be playing twice at Ashton Gate Stadium next year as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road series of worldwide dates.

On what he promises will be his last ever tour, Elton will be stopping into Bristol on June 22 and 26.

They will be his first dates in our city since he played at the County Ground in 2009, with the tour coming after the release of his latest album, The Lockdown Sessions, which sees collaborations with the likes of Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus.

Ashton Gate head of venue Jenny Hutchinson said: “It is fantastic news that we’ve been able to secure a second concert date for what will undoubtedly be an incredible tour.

“As Elton has said, it will be the last chance to secure a ticket to what will be his final performance ever, here in the South West.”

Bristol City, Bristol Bears and Bristol Flyers Season Card holders will be sent an exclusive pre-sale link for priority access to tickets.

Public tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday through Ticketmaster, AXS, Alt Tickets and Gigantic.
