Farmfest celebrates 10th anniversary

By Laura Williams  Thursday Feb 12, 2015

Lamb, Portico, Nightmares on Wax and Stealing Sheep are among the first acts confirmed for this year’s Farmfest in Somerset.

The team behind the boutique event are celebrating their 10 year anniversary and promise another cracking weekend of music and festival fun.

Taking place at Gilcombe Farm in Bruton, Somerset, from July 31 to August 1, the two-day event will also feature some famous Bristol faces, including Bella Union’s Zun Zun Egui, Bite The Buffalo and Goan Dogs who wowed crowds there last year with two belting sets.

Nightmares on Wax will headline the DJ offering, which also includes Optimo’s JD Twitch, Bristol’s Phaeleh, Bradley Zero (Rhythm Section), Ruf Dug and Bath’s very own party starters The Disablists, all of whom will grace the festival’s unique combine harvester DJ booth.

A spokesman for the festival said: “Expect giant party games, overblown site decorations, enormous cake and massive fancy dress. The celebrations will see plenty of special events, new stages and one or two surprises which are being kept firmly under the Farmfest hat.”

Weekend tickets start at £49. More info on Farmfest at www.farmfestival.co.uk
