Geoff Barrow announces retirement from DJing with charity fundraiser
A charity DJ night at the Star & Garter will also act as Geoff Barrow’s retirement DJ party.
The charity event boasts a lineup of impressive DJs including Andy Smith, DJ Leonie, Boca45 and 2 Kings.
Barrow, of Beak and Portishead fame, has been DJing since 1985, performing in the late 90s at places like the Espionage.

“I never liked DJ’ing”, Barrow said. “It’s time for the kids to take over.”
The producer and multi-instrumentalist hopes to focus on film composing and his record label, Invada.

The event is in support of Reparations Bristol: a free youth projects for young people aged 11 to 16 of African and Caribbean descent who are in danger of exclusion from school n society.
The charity raise funds through their community outreach events and generous donations from the community. All donations go towards our youth projects.
Of the event, Jason Clemmings, founder of Reparations Bristol, said: “We are so honoured and blessed to have Geoff Barrow and the crew continually supporting our cause.”
