Grassroots music group Let The Kid Dig debut with all-day party

By Hope Talbot  Wednesday May 29, 2024

An all-day party at Loco Klub is set to celebrate Bristol’s diverse music scene.

The event will feature local bands including Dogs Body, Sugar Darling and El Knight, showcasing a mix of trip-hop, alt-rock, punk and folk.

Held at Loco Klub, a nightclub hidden beneath the railways of Temple Meads, the event will also include immersive visuals projected throughout the tunnels.

LTKD is focused on promoting emerging artists from under-represented backgrounds. As part of their work, the group helps to program and market events as well as handling live event operations.

The organisation aims to assist artists who are young carers, as well as those from working-class backgrounds or those who come from marginalised communities.

After being a young carer during her late adolescence, LTKD’s director, Amy Hicks, is passionate about supporting underrepresented musicians to fulfil their creative potential.

The LTKD All Dayer is happening this Sunday at Loco Klub, from 4 pm to 11 pm.

Tickets can be purchased from Headfirst.
