Huge star to perform surprise gig at Cabot Circus

Rapper Dizzee Rascal will perform in Bristol on Thursday in a surprise appearance at a city centre shopping centre.

The award-winning grime artist, producer and MC is due to perform at Cabot Circus at midday under the shopping centre’s glass dome roof.

Best known for his hit singles Bonkers, Holiday, Fix Up, Look Sharp, Dance Wiv Me, Dizzee Rascal is known as a pioneer of grime music. He earned a Mercury Prize for his debut album, Boy in da Corner in 2003.

The rapper will be previewing his new album Don’t Take It Personal, which features the single, How Did I Get So Calm.

The rapper was in Birmingham’s shopping district on Wednesday, before arriving in Bristol on Thursday as part of his UK-wide press tour.
