IDLES announce release date for upcoming fifth album

Bristol punk rock outfit, IDLES, have announced their fifth studio album alongside a brand new track and music video, Dancer.

TANGK will follow up the Grammy-nominated album, Crawler, which was released in 2021.

Speaking about the album, lead singer Joe Talbot says: “TANGK. I needed love. So I made it. I gave love out to the world and it feels like magic. This is our album of gratitude and power. All love songs. All is love.”

The album will be released on February 16 via Partisan Records and will feature 11 new tracks from the band.

Following the announcement of their fifth album, the band have dropped a brand new single, Dancer, which is out today.

The track features LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and Nancy Whang on backing vocals.

They have also announced a run of European dates beginning February of next year, kicking things off in Portugal on February 29.
