Jazz/Blues Fest preview: Jazz in the Foyer

By Tony Benjamin  Monday Mar 2, 2015

Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival, Colston Hall, Friday March 6 – Sunday March 8

One thing that keeps the Colston Hall buzzing throughout the festival is the free programme of live music in the Foyer reflecting the best of Bristol’s local jazz and blues scene.

This year’s pick of twenty acts spans the whole spectrum from Innes Sibbun’s gutbucket blues to Jim Blomfield’s intricate piano compositions via brass bands, vocalists, swing bands and James Morton’s new superfunky band The Rawness.

Festival programmer Denny Ilett says:”I’m always proud to present our best local talent alongside the international programme.”
