Mahalia Presents to visit Bristol as part of first UK tour

By Issy Packer  Tuesday Mar 26, 2024

Following the success of the London Jazz Café shows, and recently expanding internationally to New York, Mahalia Presents will be hitting the road on a UK tour this April.

Kicking off in London, the show will also be visiting Manchester and Bristol’s Thekla for the first time.

Founded last march at London’s Moth Club by British songstress and double BRIT, Grammy and Ivor Novello award nominee Mahalia, the showcase series is respawned from an event she used to run when she was 16 in her hometown of Leicester, and strives to platform upcoming R&B artists.

The shows will showcase seven artists across three nights, featuring James Vickery, Ruby Wood, Olympia Vitalis, Akemi Fox, Victoria Jane, Tianna and Immi Dash.

Taking place on April 10, the Bristol show will include James Vickery whose debut album, Songs That Made Me Feel, includes notable collaborations with Musiq Soulchild and EarthGang.

Bristol artist Tianna will also be performing at the showcase. Her debut EP, Morning Conversations, was released in September 2023 and she is set to release her upcoming project later this year.

Finally, Immi Dash will compleet the Bristol lineup. The singer-songwriter has supported Slum Village at Future Yard on their UK tour, and was also chosen for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition long-list 2023.
