Motion becomes first Bristol venue to be awarded SAVI License
Standing for Licensing Security and Vulnerability Initiative (Licensing SAVI), Motion has become the first licensed SAVI venue in the city.
The assessment was developed at the request of the Home Office by Police Crime Prevention Initiatives to prevent and reduce crime and recognises the efforts to improve safety across all areas for staff and ravers.
On completing the self-assessment, and additional checks, Motion received a five star rating, an accreditation, and an award to display and show the efforts undertaken to enhance safety.
is needed now More than ever
With the aim to get further venues on board, the assessment is available online and covers topics including responsible drinking, drugs misuse, preventing violent behaviour and safeguarding vulnerable customers through to preventing opportunist theft and improving physical security, such as lighting and CCTV systems.
Most measures included in Licensing SAVI can be introduced quickly and at little or no cost to the venue.
Dawid Chocholski, the General Manager at Motion, commented: “Safety and wellbeing of our patrons is of paramount importance to everyone at Motion.
“It is a huge honour to be the first venue in Bristol to be acknowledged and awarded by such a prestigious organisation as SAVI.”
