New music video to raise awareness of youth violence
A new music video has been shot in south Bristol as part of a project tackling youth violence.
Youth worker Macy Jane Lefeuvre raps in the video for Knock Knock, which also features Bristol rapper Nicole Blaze.
Filmed around Knowle West, it includes locations such as Filwood Broadway, Knowle West Health Park and Novers Steps – which has a view over Bristol.

Macy, who works for Youth Moves at The Park Centre in Knowle West, says the video came about through her role with the Peer Action Collective (PAC) project.
She is part of a national network of peer researchers who have been working with their communities to find solutions to youth violence.
“A lot of young people listen to music and it can be quite violent. So I thought it would be a good idea to make a music video to show that things don’t always have to be negative,” explained Macy.
“Since I’ve put it out there, I’ve had lots of positive feedback. A lot of people are saying it’s nice to see someone making something good out of Knowle West,” she added.
The video has been produced by Blackstory Entertainment, with the song written by a ghostwriter.
Macy, who is from Knowle West, has been involved with Youth Moves since the age of 14, attending sessions and then volunteering.
At 18, she was offered an apprenticeship with the organisation, and now works there as an assistant youth worker.

The 19-year-old, who sings as well as raps, is keen to use her new skills and experience to help young people achieve their music ambitions.
“I feel like everyone’s got talent but they’re just too shy and not confident enough, and that’s the thing I want to work with people on,” she said.
Her advice to young people: “Go for it and don’t worry about what people got to say. Just keep smashing it. You live once, so live it to the fullest.”
Macy is one of a number of musically gifted stars to hail from Knowle West. Tricky from Massive Attack also grew up in the area, as did “Chinese pop princess” KALA CHNG.
