Preview: Fenne Lily, Strange Brew
Bristol-based Fenne Lily brings her tiny tour of the homeland to Strange Brew for the last show of this run. It’s always good to finish with a homecoming show, after all – especially for an artist that has been spending so much time Stateside.
The show should see Lily playing songs from her now extensive back catalogue that spans three albums.
Last seen locally back in April at Trinity Centre, celebrating the release of 2024’s album Big Picture, she’s played the full range of the city’s iconic venues over the years, from Thekla to the Lantern.
is needed now More than ever
She even popped out of the crowd at the Louisiana to sing with Only The Poets, a show that was a privilege to witness.

Strange Brew provides the perfect intimate setting for fans to get up close and personal with Fenne Lily and her band. The venue is made for her sublimely soothing voice.
Think Phoebe Bridgers, think Soccer Mommy. Lily’s introspective lyrics focus on themes of loneliness and heartbreak, balancing heartfelt melancholia with joyful beauty.
It’s no wonder she has built up a solid fanbase that are sure to be hanging on her every word. Expect goosebumps aplenty.
Support comes from Samo Songs, selected by Lily herself after she reached out to artists, ‘comedians or people who do educational demonstrations of erosion processes’ on socials.
She promised to listen to every submission and hand-picked a different act for each tour show, also uploading a longlist playlist to “be listened to on loop like I’ve been doing.”
Samo Songs is a Coventry-based singer-songwriter with indie, rap and soul influences who works to express the nuance in daily life through art & culture.
Lily’s instagram says to “bring corn.” I’m interested to see if anyone does.
The show takes place on June 21. Buy tickets at www.seetickets.com/event/fenne-lily/bristol-strange-brew/2983248
