Preview: Ritual Union
The one day music festival is finally happening.
After a run of dates in Oxford, Ritual Union was originally supposed to hold its first Bristol date in March 2020, one week before the very first lockdown. Organisers postponed the event to 2021 but then had to delay it again due to the arson attack at SWX in July 2021.
The festival will now take place on October 1 and is being held across four different music venues; SWX, Strange Brew, Rough Trade and Dareshack.
is needed now More than ever
The lineup includes some of the best of Bristol’s talent as well as artists from around the UK.
Fresh off her tour for her second album, Katy J Pearson will be headlining the event along with singer, songwriter Willie J Healy, London-based band Los Bitchos and the trio, Honeyglaze.

Other Bristol artists include Pet Shimmers, Getdown Services, Prima Queen (well, one half at least!) and post-punk band, Grandmas House.
The festival promises a range of artists and genres to appeal to all music-lovers, including indie rock (Bull), country rock (Langkamer), alt-pop (Tlya X) and experimental trip-hop (Nukuluk).
Bristol continues to be the hub of new music and festivals and we can only hope it continues.
