Rave on Avon announces return party at Motion
Since its inception 12 years ago, Rave on Avon has been one of the most exciting days on the Bristol party calendar. Thousands of people taking to the streets of Stokes Croft and the surrounding area, all with one thing on their minds: Big tunes.
However, we all know the damage the past two years has done to the live music and events industry, and believe it or not, it’s now quite difficult to swamp a main road with thousands of sweaty party people. But that’s not stopping the ROA crew.

is needed now More than ever
This year sees the return of the massive celebration of Bristol’s underground music culture, but with a twist. For the first time ever, Rave on Avon is being hosted in an official venue. Not only that, but it’s one of Bristol’s largest and most well-known venues – motion.
The line-up is truly a who’s who of Bristol dance music, with everyone from Nicky Blackmarket no doubt bringing the jungle/drum and bass flavour, to Alfresco Disco bringing the groovy summer vibes, and everything in between. They’ve called it “Return of The Rave” for a reason.
There’ll also be an after party taking place at nearby Dare To Club, and whilst details aren’t currently out for that yet, you can be certain that it’ll involve some faces from the day session, and a few unexpected surprises.
The event takes place on May 21. Tickets are currently sitting at £20, but expect them to go up, as it’ll no doubt be a sell out. They can be purchased here.
