Stapleton Road stars in new music video
Stapleton Road is the star of Dr Meaker’s latest single, released on Friday.
The video for Simple Complications, which you can watch here, co-stars soul singer Celestine, who tours globally with Black Box.
In boots, denim jacket and with leopard print umbrella in hand, the singer – formerly of Dub From Atlantis and a regular in Dr Meaker’s live band – walks past Easton landmarks singing of real love that ‘feels like shelter from the rain.’

The St Marks Road Thali, Clifton Place estate, railway bridge, Victory Store and an ‘I heart Easton’ sticker can be spotted in the stunning black and white visual directed by Chris Lucas.
Dancers let loose in the street outside Malik’s and Beauty Queen Cosmetics, and several local characters feature including Dr Meaker himself in a quick cameo.
The drum and bass maestro has been on the Bristol scene for twenty years. His live band’s first show was at the Ashton Court festival in 2004.
In a touching tribute, thanks are given to ‘the shop keepers and community on Stapleton Road, Easton, Bristol’ in the video’s credits.
It’s another dirt and soul classic released by Dr Meaker ahead of his forthcoming new album. The highly anticipated Distorted Sun has been eight years in the making and will be released in October.
