Take That to play first Bristol show since 1992
Bristol may not yet have an arena, but thankfully we do have a stadium fit to host some of the biggest acts in the UK.
Ashton Gate will be the venue for Take That on May 28 2019 as part of their 30th greatest hits anniversary tour, which promises a reimagining of old favourites, a few new songs and a spectacular live show.
Tickets go on general sale on sale Friday, September 28, with hospitality packages at the stadium starting at £225 per person and rising to £5,400 for a private executive box for 12 people.
is needed now More than ever
It will be the first Bristol show for Take That – now made up of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen – since 1992 when they played at the Colston Hall during their first ever UK tour.
Fans who pre-order Take That’s new album Odyssey before midday on Tuesday will get early access to the Greatest Hits tour tickets.
Ashton Gate Stadium is hosting a rugby double-header on Saturday, when Bristol Bears take on Harlequins in the Gallagher Premiership at 3pm and Bristol Bears Women face West Country rivals Gloucester-Hartpury in the Tyrrell’s Premier 15s at 4.50pm.
In an ironic twist, images of Take That were used in the proposed visuals for the now-scrapped Bristol Arena on Temple Island:

Populous won the design competition for the 12,000-capacity Bristol Arena on Temple Island which will now forever stay on the drawing board
