Family-friendly event at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery to celebrate the city’s diverse cultures

In a one-day event suitable for all ages, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery have announced The World in Bristol Festival on September 14.

Billed as a chance to “celebrate Bristol’s diverse cultures with a vibrant day of music, dance, storytelling and craft activities”, organisers are keen to encourage people of all backgrounds to come along.

“The event showcases the amazing migrant and diaspora communities who shape and enrich our city,” they say.

Visitors will have an opportunity to get involved in a Caribbean singing workshop, or to learn some holistic African dance steps.

There will also be a Polish storytelling session, flag-making, and more.

The World in Bristol Festival 2024 is at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery on September 14, from 12-4pm. For more information, visit www.bristolmuseums.org.uk. The event is free and no booking is required.
