Review: ‘Noel West’, Tobacco Factory Theatres – ‘A warm-hearted celebratory adventure’
There is rather a big twist in Noel West which is at the centre of this warm-hearted celebratory adventure.
I won’t be giving the twist away here. But suffice to say, if you’re expecting to go to the Tobacco Factory to sit in its theatre, then think again.
Noel West shines a light on the people behind the Christmas lights and the close-knit community of Knowle West, with many real-life characters joining us for the ride.
is needed now More than ever
Noel West Airlines is our ticket to explore the festive delights of BS4 with dancing, sparkles and plenty of surprises along the way.
There is nowhere like Knowle West at this time of year, with this merry and bright immersive experience from local artists Meg Clark-Bagnall and Claud Collins transporting you right to the centre of the celebrations.

“Christmas in Knowle West is not like Christmas anywhere else in the city – it’s better,” Meg told Bristol24/7 ahead of Noel West.
“It’s also Bristol’s best kept secret about the area. People just do Christmas here really, really well. It’s an act of giving and an act of joy, and an act of celebrating, and bringing light in to this dark time.
“But with a cost of living crisis, and an environmental crisis, we’re going through a lot right now. I think the Noel West project is about shining a light on people who are shining their lights.
“But it’s a two-stranded thing. We want to continue nourishing our community once they’ve taken their lights down.”
Noel West is at the Tobacco Factory Theatres from December 14 to 18, with all performances now sold out. For more information, visit www.tobaccofactorytheatres.com/shows/noel-west
